My entry for the Angels and Demons contest by Sadan Vague
Short comics story:
When the ruzzian missile struck contamination shield of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, the earth did more than shake—it screamed.
Deep beneath Reactor 4, sealed in layers of lead, stone, and prayers, something awoke.
It had no name, only hunger—a creature born from graphite fire and human arrogance. It was forged in the moment of the 1986 meltdown, a radioactive demon formed of molten steel, shattered atoms, and the pain of abandoned towns.
For decades, it slumbered in silence, dreaming in gamma waves.
Until now.
